Here is a link to a really good news cast on yahoo about opportunities and ideas for people who are unemployed or need to make extra cash. Some of the ideas include focusing on skills that you are good at like mechanics, writing on the Internet, arts and crafts, sales, telecommunications, computer programming, and just about anything. And then, you take your special craft and market yourself using blogs, online social networks, craigs list, and your local news websites. This list can be widely extended with some creativity. You can get free business cards made online at Vista Print and only have to pay for shipping. Watch the video below, its really inspiring.

Independent Work
Its been a while since I posted a blog, so I'll try to make it jammed pack with information. Wsbt (link below) provided some interesting facts about Indiana's unemployment statistics. And lets just say Elkhart was not on the better end of the list. Nonetheless I want to add some interesting links to my fellow unemployed that may provide less stress and hints to landing that job and collecting unemployment checks. My prayers are dedicated to you.

I am going to be on TV
Hi everyone, this is my first blog entry. I am going to be on WSBT Chanel 22 South Bend, Indiana April 9th at 6 PM. The news story is called "Faces of the Unemployed" and it is about people who are unemployed and trying to cope with the devasting realities of being without work. My philosophy is that you hope for the best and look out for the worst. Awareness is key to better understanding the future that is not always in your control.
More about me, recently I was on TV on January 1st. New Years 2009 and at the time I did not have a job. Very scary. I responded to a WSBT new years resolution question and was called upon shortly after I emailed my answer. This was the beginning of my fame, LOL, or rather my desire to continue to help people who are unemployed. I have always had the desire to help people who need help and now this country is facing a national recession. I would like to dedicate this blog to the unemployed in this country and to anyone who has motivation and ideas to get us out of this "economic depression".
I want to emotionally support those who may need it now and invite you to share your comments, advice, or even just a story about your experiences with unemployment and its impact, positive or negative. You are not alone. SIV-62
